Poetic Inspiration Peace, Wisdom, and Truth

Poetic Inspiration Peace, Wisdom, and Treasure is dedicated to Bishop Calvin Davis, Sr. and Bishop Leslie Edwards, whose words will always remain inspirational.  Their manner of life had a profound effect on many people and several members of Pentecostal Way of Truth wanted to share some of the treasures that was given to them.  Both men’s words of wisdom had a way of springing beyond troubles and instilled a sense of peace that became our inspiration in our everyday life.  As a way to show others how they inspired us, we created a poetry book as a fundraiser to keep their vision alive.
Their vision was to expand our organization in our community.  They were creating a place where people from all walks of life could be educated, while having the freedom to express their culture through dance, arts, and language. NOW AVAILABLE pwtpoets.com

Searching for the Light
Join me in an adventure where dreams are merged with reality and where nothing is as it seems.

It was useless!  The horrible images that surrounded the last days of the president’s life finally took over, and what little sanity I had left vanished as I plunged myself into an alternate state of reality.     It was almost as if I was watching myself on a video as the events leading up to the president’s death began to unfold in the midst of my dreamlike state.  At times, I could not tell whether I was actually dreaming or if I was really reliving the past.  A sudden knock on the door seemed to jar me back to reality.

Strings of Joy
by Kenneth Kirkwood,sr ©

When my feet stepped upon
Rain’s bow of hope
I heard his ringing
From heaven’s strings
Magically swinging
Caressing twilight’s shadow’s
Now my fingers are playing
His beat upon the streets
With such joy resounding
For heaven’s singing is now abounding
And the treasure of his voice
Has now become my gold

What is alliteration?
Alliteration is repeated occurrence of the same consonant at the beginning of several words in the same phrase.

In poetry alliteration may refer to the repetition of a consonant in any syllables that, according to the poem's meter, are stressed as if word-initial, as in "One Punk Skunk Stunk up the bunk as the other Punk Skunk Stunk down."

For, example  the Mother Goose tonuge- twister
"Peter Piper Pick a Peck of Pickled Peppers"
or "Sally Sells Seashells down by the Seashore"
